OPTIBAND and Railguns
USA Latex’s OPTIBAND is a band that is less resistant to load than other formulas and has a smoother release of power which helps to reduce recoil. Increased power can be achieved by increasing the power stroke of the band, the high stretch formulation allows for a shorter band to be used while remaining practical to load. This has an advantage over traditional speargun rubbers that rely on highly resistant rubbers to generate their power which often results in excess recoil and reduced accuracy.
OPTIBAND and Rollerguns
USA latex’s OPTIBAND improved is much more suited to Rollerguns than the traditional USA latex which was prone to collapse under the increased pressure of a Rollergun. OPTIBAND allows for up to 350% stretch whilst retaining its structural integrity.

Adreno Eden Speargun
$219.99
The Adreno Eden Speargun is a nimble, accurate and sturdy closed-muzzle speargun that is at home on the reefs, around the headlands and is a breeze when shore-diving - comes with a 14mm power band. All sizes of Eden won't break the bank even though they've been designed in Australia and made in South Africa, drawing on our decades of experience. When it comes to value for money we reckon this is the best value speargun on the market today and you can rest assured knowing that the design and testing phases were overseen by former Australian Spearfishing Champion and Adreno founder Tim Neilsen.
The Eden comes in 7 sizes, in 10cm increments, from 50cm up to 110cm, with each size including a specifically sized power band to optimise accuracy. Regardless of which size you choose, the Eden is a surefire choice for beginners and amateurs alike but the 50cm version is a great backup gun, especially for securing world-record attempts (to secure a record you must personally load and shoot all shafts).
Eden's short-butt gives the user options of loading with the butt of the handle, whichever your solar-plexus prefers! The red component of the handle is slightly rubberised to improve the grip. It's common for beginners to choose an extended butt however one of the most common causes of premature wetsuit death is from miss-using an extended butt.
We didn't want to unleash a gun that wouldn't stand up to the test of time, and salt, so we had the barrels coated in Armadillo's Black-Passivate Zinc Coating which provides superior resistance to salt corrosion. Furthermore, the reverse mech's cartridge boasts 30% glass-filled nylon which ensures longevity.
The Eden includes a 52 Rockwell Spring Steel Shaft that has been dubbed 'the spear with no peer' and our first few dives proved this, which is equally ideal for seasoned-spearos as it is for rock-thwacking beginners.
Drawing attention to Eden's muzzle showcases a well-considered closed muzzle that is incredibly accurate, easy to load, features a built-in line guide and capacity for additional power bands.
Adreno Eden Speargun Features:
- Anodised Aerospace Aluminium Barrel: Rigid and lightweight
- Closed Muzzle: Easier loading compared to an open-muzzle with guide-tracks to ensure your power-bands are sitting correctly when loaded
- 30% Glass-Fibre Filled Nylon Cartridge: added rigidity and longevity
- Reverse Mechanism: a reverse mech places the shaft further back towards the butt which allows you to run a longer shaft for a given barrel length
- 1x14mm Powerband
- 52 Rockwell Spring-Steel Shaft: "the spear with no peer"
- Armadillo's Black-Passivate Zinc Passivate Coating
- Reel Mount
- Easily Access Safety
- Comes Rigged
