USA Latex's OPTIBAND speargun rubber, the result of over 40 years in the speargun rubber manufacturing industry, is crafted from high-quality natural latex using a dipping process for superior quality. Developed in collaboration with speargun manufacturers and spearos, the OPTIBAND formula offers super smooth, high-stretch performance, making it less resistant to load and providing a smoother release of power to reduce recoil. The high-stretch formulation allows for shorter bands, increasing power while remaining practical to load, which is advantageous over traditional speargun rubbers that often cause excess recoil and reduced accuracy. OPTIBAND is also well-suited to rollerguns, allowing up to 350% stretch while retaining structural integrity, unlike traditional latex that collapses under pressure. For longevity, natural latex should be stored away from high heat, UV, and ozone-generating devices such as motors, in a container that protects it from these elements.
