Spearfishing and free diving masks are essential tools underwater, serving as your primary vision aid beneath the surface. Opting for a low volume mask is crucial in spearfishing due to its ability to minimise air volume inside, which reduces the effort required for equalising pressure as you descend. This conservation of air translates to longer dive times, particularly beneficial for deeper dives beyond 15 meters.

Dual Lens Masks: feature two separate lenses divided by a nose pocket, offering flexibility such as the option for prescription lenses and easier clearing compared to single lens designs. Single Lens Masks: on the other hand, may provide a wider field of vision for some divers, although personal fit and facial structure play a significant role in comfort and visibility.

Full Face Masks: cover the entire face and are not recommended for spearfishing due to limitations in equalisation techniques, but they offer advantages for surface snorkelling, such as eliminating jaw fatigue from biting down on a snorkel and providing an unobstructed field of view.

Before using a new dive mask, it's essential to remove the factory seal to prevent fogging underwater. Utilising a product like Sea Buff, specially formulated for this purpose, ensures clear visibility during your dives, surpassing the effectiveness of traditional methods like toothpaste.
