    Speargun Shafts

It's an unfortunate reality that powerful fish can bend speargun shafts, and a bent shaft won't shoot straight. Therefore, it's always wise to carry at least one spare shaft for long dives or boat trips.

We offer a range of shafts made from various steel qualities, with price often being the best indicator of durability. In spearfishing, as in most sports, you get what you pay for. Choosing the right shaft can be complex due to the different types and specifications required for various guns and fish. To simplify this process, we can assist you via live chat, email, or phone. Our Spearfishing Shafts FAQ provides additional information. Key factors to consider include the shaft's cut (notches, pins, or fins), length, diameter, and spearhead type, along with the gun, environment, and fish you’re targeting.

We primarily offer two types of shafts: Hawaiian & Tahitian shafts

Hawaiian and Tahitian Shafts: These shafts come with a spear tip and flopper (barb) integrated into the shaft. On Hawaiian shafts, the flopper is on the bottom, while on Tahitian shafts, it's on the top. The choice between them is mostly a matter of personal preference and consistency, as it can slightly affect the spear's trajectory and your aim.

Spearheads and Prangers: Spearheads attach to threaded shafts and include fixed designs and breakaways. Prangers are designed for use with hand spears.
