At Venture Hunting & Outdoors, we don't just sell technical hunting, archery, and outdoor gear—we live it. Our mission is to deliver the "World's Best" retail experience to the Australian outdoor community. To do that, we need a team that actually knows what they're talking about.

We are currently expanding our Springwood flagship team and are on the lookout for authentic, passionate outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you are an experienced bowhunter, a technical long-range shooter, a backcountry hiker, or a weekend spear-fisher, your real-world dirt experience is your greatest asset on our shop floor.

The Role

This isn't a standard, boring retail gig checking boxes. You will sit at the core of our community hub, responsible for:

  • Providing expert, technical product advice on premium firearms, optics, compound bows, and technical apparel.
  • Processing store transactions and stock receipts accurately using our Retail POS system.
  • Merchandising top-tier stock arrays across our store.
  • Upholding absolute legal compliance behind our gun counter regarding licensing and ammunition transactions.
  • Support and/or run our monthly social events.

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves)

To protect our strict compliance track record and maintain a seamless roster, you must meet the following criteria to apply:

  • Licensing: You must hold a current QLD Firearms License, or be actively in the official process of acquiring one.
  • Mobility: A valid Australian Driver's License and your own reliable mode of transport to get to and from the Springwood store.
  • Availability: Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and public holidays—this is retail, and it's when our community shops.

Bonus Points (Helps Your Application)

  • A current valid Forklift Permit (LF) is highly regarded. If you know how to safely operate a high-reach lift to unload heavy bulk ammunition or palletized stock deliveries, this will be a bonus.
  • Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance.
