Meet Our Panellists
Melanie Kirley
Raised in a hunting family, Melanie has spent nearly 30 years stalking Victoria’s high country for sambar, red deer and other free-range game. Blending disciplined range practice, back-country fitness, and a sustainable field-to-fork mindset, she and her partner now run an outdoor media agency that challenges stereotypes and inspires new hunters. Whether glassing alpine gullies or mentoring first-timers, Mel’s passion is ethical hunting that nourishes both people and the landscape.

Rachel Lynch
Rachel recently took up compound bow hunting and quickly became hooked. Introduced to hunting by her husband, weekends in the bush soon became a regular part of her life. Her first solo rut hunt was a defining moment, giving her a sense of purpose and confidence. Outside of hunting, Rachel co-runs Dog & Gun Coffee with her husband, celebrating the field-to-fork lifestyle and helping others feel at home outdoors. She’s passionate about encouraging women to get involved and believes the best way to learn is to ask questions, back yourself, and dive in.
