Chambered in .308 WIN on a short action, this rifle ships with a 24" (60.96cm) heavy sporter barrel that is button-rifled, free-floated, and thermally stress-relieved for consistent performance across extended shooting sessions. The thumbhole laminate stock, vented forearm, and recessed target crown signal clearly that this is a rifle built for precision-focused applications, not general-purpose carry. With Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System, a three-lug bolt, and a muzzle threaded at 5/8"x24 (the standard metric thread for .30 calibre suppressors in Australia), the XPR Thumbhole Varmint SR is a compelling option for licensed shooters looking for an accurate, suppressor-compatible centrefire at a realistic price point.

Winchester XPR Thumbhole Varmint SR Bolt Action Centrefire Rifle - 3rnd Mag Key Features

Calibre and Action: Chambered in .308 WIN on a short action with a 1:10" (25.4mm) twist rate, providing excellent stability across a broad range of .308 projectile weights commonly used in Australian pest control and range shooting.

Suppressor Ready (SR) Muzzle Threading: The barrel is threaded 5/8"x24 with a thread protector included, allowing direct fitment of compatible suppressors without additional adapters or gunsmithing.

Barrel: 24" (60.96cm) button-rifled, free-floated, thermally stress-relieved steel barrel with a heavy sporter contour and recessed target crown.
